The 4 things you must do for strong knees

Aug 06, 2020

I've seen a LOT of crazy stuff and so much NOT ENOUGH action when people are trying to help their knees.

If your knees are achy, painful, and stop you from doing some of the things you love,  I have some FREE help on the way!

It's the 4 Essential Building Blocks for strong knees and you can get the FREEBIE right here.

I'll give you a hint -

It starts with the basics of how your move, or Movement Foundations.  We learn many poor habits through our lives.  You might have compensations that put added pressure on your knees from previous injuries.  In Movement Foundations we focus on breaking apart bad habits and establishing a health pattern of movement that provides support from your toes through your low back.

In addition to moving well, you'll want to work on Balance Training.  Staying upright with the ability to catch ourselves when we stumble seems to get more challenging as we age.  Why is that?  We get weaker and stop doing the things that helped us to have good balance in the first place.  The Good News is that you can improve your balance with practice at any age.  In the freebie, we tell you the 4 types of balance activities you'll want to include.

The third building block for healthy knees is muscle development through Strength Training.  The surprising thing for many people is that knee strength is not just about the muscles connected to the knee.  Your feet, ankles, calf, hips, and core all affect your knee.  We break down the strength training into four categories.

Last, but not least, is the importance of Stretch Techniques. The right kind of stretching before exercise will help prepare your muscles and joints for the movement to come.  Stretching post exercise can help you increase range of motion.  And if you have tight muscles, release techniques can help relieve that soreness.
